The significance of burning incense: first, to show reverence and respect for the three treasures, so as to demonstrate and attract all beings; The second is to transmit information to the void dharma world and understand the ten treasures blessing; Third, it refers to burning incense in ten ways to remind Buddhist disciples of their selfless dedication; Fourth, it means that Buddhist precepts are really fragrant, which means "practice precepts diligently, be calm, and stop greed and ignorance". Buddha doesn't like the big and expensive incense on earth, but he likes the precepts of Buddhism, which are really fragrant. When burning incense, the incense stick is held between the index finger and the middle finger of both hands, and the ring finger and the little finger should overlap each other. The second thumb is placed at the bottom of the stick, slowly lifted and placed between the eyebrows, becoming a burning inquiry ceremony. When three incense sticks are inserted into the incense burner, hold the incense in your right hand, first insert the middle stick, then insert the right stick and then insert the left stick. All sticks should be straight and not skewed. Don't kneel on the middle mat when you worship Buddha in the future. If you swagger in the middle and bow to the mat, it is also contemptuous and rude. It is best not to worship the Buddha on mats. Buddhists should choose one side, worship on the spot and not pick up filth. When you worship, you should be solemn, don't laugh, keep quiet, don't care about others' ridicule and contempt for you, and even say that you are superstitious. This is the time to bear the burden of humiliation and eliminate karma. You can't worship Buddha three times and nine times, but you should use the five-body ritual of ancient India. The so-called five bodies refer to the forehead, two elbows and two knees. It is not Buddhist etiquette for outsiders to bow (holding their chest with fists), bow three times and kowtow three times. Burn incense and worship Buddha, your heart should be clean, and the results can be spotless and blessed. If you want to make a wish, when you give up the idea of selfishness and harming others and make a big wish to benefit all beings in society, you will have infinite merits. The Buddhist scriptures say, "worship Buddha, eliminate sin, and leave sand; It is blessed to recite Buddha. "Worship Buddha and Bodhisattva, generally speaking, it is advisable to burn incense for more than three times. This means that "discipline, determination and wisdom" are not lacking, and it also means that Buddhism, dharma and monks live in three treasures. This is the most complete and civilized incense offering. There is not much fragrance, but the heart is in my heart. The so-called "burn three sticks of civilized incense and respect a sincere heart". There is no need for every Buddha and Bodhisattva to burn three incense sticks. Generally, it is enough to put three incense sticks in front of Daxiong Hall, and other halls have the same effect. Of course, it can also be decided according to the regulations of the temple and the distribution of incense burners in the temple, but it is advisable to have no more than three incense burners per incense burner. Actually, you don't have to burn incense. There are many ways to support buddhas and bodhisattvas, generally flowers (epigenetic) and fruits (epigenetic). If the conditions are not met, just a glass of water (purity and homogeneity) is enough. However, wine and meat should never be used to support buddhas and bodhisattvas. Usually you can use one of the six offerings of "fragrance, flower, lamp, oil, fruit and music". As for offerings, you can generally provide some fruits and flowers. This offering is as you wish, as long as it is not wine, meat, onion and garlic. After worshipping Buddha, you should worship the abbot to show your respect to the Sangha and bow to all the ten monks. When you bow to the mage, you can worship; If you meet other wizards, you can ask questions and do them. Cross your hands as a chest and cross your hands as a gift, which is equivalent to greeting. More rigorous interrogation ceremony, when the chest (folding) is slightly bent, the palms should be closed. When your closed hand falls to the ground, immediately put the middle finger, ring finger and little finger of your right hand on the middle finger, ring finger and little finger of your left hand. The fingertips of second-hand food should be connected in a semicircle, not sharp, and the fingertips of second-hand thumb should be connected in a straight line.
