Trademarks can be in the name of individuals. According to Article 4 of the Trademark Law, natural persons, legal persons or other organizations can be trademark applicants. However, in China, a pure natural person cannot be a trademark applicant and needs to provide a business license for individual industrial and commercial households. The provisions on trademark transfer are the same as those on trademark application. Trademark transfer requires the following documents and materials: 1, power of attorney stamped with the transferee's seal; 2. An application for the transfer of a registered trademark signed or sealed by the transferor and the transferee; 3, the transferee's identity card or business license or institutions, associations and other organizations with legal personality certificate copy. The transferee is from outside the mainland, so these documents are not needed.
