Lingshan village, located in the eastern suburb of Chengkan Town, governs 7 natural villages, 17 villagers' groups, with 537 households and 1832 people. Lingshan village is rich in agricultural resources, with paddy field 1.200 mu, dry land 1.500 mu, forest land 6750 mu and bamboo forest 3 1.50 mu, which is suitable for agriculture. Because of its rich bamboo resources, lingshan village has become an important bamboo village in Chengkan Town, and Lingshan has a long history of bamboo weaving technology, so Lingshan bamboo weaving has become one of the characteristic economies in lingshan village.

Lingshan 1,000 mu high-yield bamboo forest base is a project implemented by lingshan village Party branch with the strong support of the District Agricultural Comprehensive Development Office and the District Forestry Bureau. This project has improved the site environment of existing bamboo gardens in lingshan village, adjusted the bamboo structure and improved the quality of bamboo shoots. Through the reclamation, thinning and cultivation of bamboo, the bamboo forest in the base has the characteristics of high bamboo production and good quality of new bamboo. This is the only high-yield bamboo garden that can realize the income from 800 yuan per mu. This project has become one of the important channels to adjust the economic structure of Lingshan bamboo forest and increase farmers' income.

The project has completed the transformation of 1600 mu low-yield bamboo garden. In addition, new bamboo forest 150 mu will be built, 300 mu will be reclaimed and 200 mu will be expanded, and the bamboo forest area will reach more than 2,000 mu, making the base an important channel for adjusting the economic structure of bamboo forest in Lingshan and increasing farmers' income.

Because of its geographical location, watermelon cultivation has always been one of the traditional industries in lingshan village. Coupled with the influence of soil and microclimate, Lingshan watermelon is favored by customers because of its late listing, good quality and sweet taste, and it is also one of the main incomes of local people.

In order to develop watermelon economy, the General Party Branch of lingshan village actively mobilized villagers to plant watermelons and improve watermelon varieties. In 2006, with the strong support of district science and technology bureau and agricultural technology department, Cheyenne watermelon varieties with high quality and high yield were introduced and planted, which achieved good economic benefits. In the same year, Lingshan Watermelon Association was established. In 2007, lingshan village promoted the development of Xia Yan Watermelon Base in Lingshan through demonstration and guidance, scientific and technological support, and association participation. The watermelon area in Xia Yan was 1.5 million mu. The village party branch will make full use of the working mechanism of village-enterprise friendship and mutual help and promotion between urban and rural areas, give full play to the role of the association and its party group, implement the watermelon brand strategy, register the trademark of "Lingshan Watermelon", mobilize farmers to develop the watermelon planting area in Xia Yan to 2,000 mu, and make Lingshan Watermelon an agricultural and sideline product economy with Lingshan characteristics.
