Pingjiang Uprising Site is located in Yueyang Academy, 1, 5 kilometers east of Pingjiang County. After liberation, it was expanded into the first complete middle school in Pingjiang County. Opposite Tian Yue Mountain, Tian Yue Academy, the former site of the uprising, is a building in the Qing Dynasty. It was built in the 59th year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty. It is a white gabled building with brick and wood structure, with a blue-gray roof and a resting mound roof, covering an area of more than 3,000 square meters, with a gate, a central hall, a back hall, left and right study rooms and so on.
geographical position
Tian Yue Academy is located in the southeast and northwest, near the Miluo River Basin, with flat terrain and broad vision. At that time, it cost more than 10 thousand, with four buildings and more than 50 houses. The collection of books and personnel are unprecedented. Teaching is mainly based on four books and five classics, and also learning history books, sub-books and poetry collections. Course diary is reading sentences, copying, asking questions and explaining.
Until the 27th year of Guangxu (190 1), the Qing court ordered the change of the school hall of the academy, and the county-level school was still located in Tian Yue Academy. Nowadays, it is the No.1 Middle School in Pingjiang County. Tian Yue Academy in Pingjiang has experienced ups and downs for more than a hundred years, and the sound of books has been constant.
Historical and cultural value
Tian Yue Academy in Pingjiang, as a local academy in Hunan, still has high historical and cultural value. Outside the halberd gate of Pingjiang Confucian Temple, there is an inscription written by Zhu Zi in calligraphy: "Loyalty, filial piety and righteousness, make concerted efforts to read sage books." This is obviously in line with the teachings of Zhuzi College, and can be used as the training of the college.
Neighbors got an old plaque of "Learning the Sea" from the people, and now it hangs in the official hall of Du Fu's tomb in Pingjiang. Who wrote this plaque? Zhao Jun Palace Book. Who is Jun Zhao Gong? Daoguang juren Zhang's father. As you can imagine, if you hang the plaque of "Learning the Sea" in Tian Yue College, you will get what you want. The legacy of Tian Yue Academy will benefit Yu Yongsheng if its old system can be slightly enlarged and the sages' poems and deeds can be listed in its room.
