Huaifeng Village is located at the southernmost end of Meiqiao Town, on the north bank of the Huaihe River, only 2 kilometers away from the entrance of Hexu Expressway. Provincial Highway 307 passes through the village. The national 4A-level scenic spot Bengbu Gate Water Conservancy Scenic Area is located in the village. Huaifeng Village covers an area of ??2.67 square kilometers and 1,512 acres of cultivated land. In 2010, the per capita net income was 11,800 yuan, making it the second "10,000-yuan village" in Bengbu City. The village's leading industry is vegetable cultivation, with the main variety being "red onions." This onion is a specialty product of Huaifeng. It is self-propagated and self-bred. It has the advantages of excellent quality, good fruit shape, heavy yield, and high efficiency. In order to expand and strengthen this characteristic industry and help villagers increase their income and become rich, the village formally established the "Bengbu Huaifeng Vegetable Farmers Professional Cooperative" in April 2010, which now has more than 300 members; in June 2010, it was awarded The State Administration for Industry and Commerce has approved the registration of the "Huaifeng" brand vegetable trademark, and the products are sold to large and medium-sized cities in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shandong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang.
