This kind of peach usually matures between June and August every year.

The early peach varieties of Yangshan peaches will be on the market at the end of May. Around July 15, the sweetest Lakeview peaches will also be on the market in large quantities. On January 5, 2013, the "Yangshan" trademark was newly recognized as a well-known Chinese trademark announced by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. On May 22, 2014, Yangshan peach won the geographical indication of agricultural products from the Ministry of Agriculture.

There are several ways to judge the ripeness of peaches:

1. Observe the peel color: The peel color of mature Yangshan peaches is mostly yellow or orange, not green.

2. Smell: Ripe Yangshan peaches have a strong fruit aroma. If there is no taste or an unusual smell, it may be an immature or overripe peach.
