Is my phone genuine?

1. Look at the serial number (IMEI)

The mobile phone serial number is like an ID card. The IMEI number of each mobile phone is unique. Generally speaking, a mobile phone can be judged from this. Check whether the machine is genuine. The identification method is as follows:

Enter *#06# in the standby state of the phone. The string of numbers displayed on the phone is its motherboard serial number. Write it down; remove the battery and look at the back of the phone. Among the two labels, the serial number on the white label is the chassis serial number, and the other label is usually the network access license. Is it consistent with the previous number? Look at the IMEI number on the machine packaging box and compare the three to see if they are consistent.

If the motherboard serial number and the chassis serial number are inconsistent, then the machine is likely to have been repaired or assembled with parts. If the three serial numbers are consistent and there is a network access license, it can basically prove that the machine is genuine. However, we are not 100% sure. The motherboard serial number can be written using a computer and software. Fake serial number labels can be purchased for just a few dollars. To be cautious, you should continue to verify according to the following method.

Note: The seventh and eighth digits of the mobile phone serial number used to indicate the place of origin of the mobile phone. However, newly produced mobile phones of major brands no longer use this method to distinguish the origin. Analyze the mobile phone serial number. There is currently no theoretical basis for determining the quality of a mobile phone based on its place of origin, so please do not follow it blindly.

2. Look at the outer packaging and instructions of the machine

The packaging and instructions of regular new machines are beautifully printed. Most of Nokia’s high-end models are printed on coated paper, with clear fonts and images and a sense of hierarchy. , but most of the counterfeit packaging boxes are imitations of simple single-sided paper, with rough fonts and images, and blurred printing. Many modified instructions from informal channels are even copied.

3. Look at the network access license

There is a watermark on the network access license, and the color on the surface is uneven, some are dark and some are light, some are thick and some are thin; and the fake ones are mostly copied. There is no change in surface color. If you can't see it, you can also use a banknote detector to take a picture of the network access license. The real one has anti-counterfeiting patterns inside, while the fake ones will be blurry. Genuine network access licenses are usually printed with dot matrix printers, and the numbers are clear. If you look carefully, there are dents made by the pins, while fake network access licenses are printed with ordinary printers, and the numbers are not very clear and there are no dents. Generally speaking, it is difficult to fake network access licenses because the equipment required for counterfeiting is relatively high in cost. In addition, you can also check online to check the authenticity of the network access license.

4. Look at the mobile phone casing

When you open a new machine, you will obviously notice that there are films on the "key parts" of the machine for key protection, such as the inner screen and outer screen. Screens, cameras, etc., as long as the mobile phone is used, there will be traces. In addition, dust and traces of use are inevitable for refurbished machines. (Ouku will inspect the appearance of each mobile phone. During the inspection, Ouku will try to avoid leaving fingerprints. If you accidentally leave fingerprints on the phone casing, please understand.)

Between the upper and lower casings of the machine The gaps between the keyboard, the gaps around the keyboard, and the charger slot are all places where dirt can easily hide. The hinge of the flip-top machine will also leave traces of use, so you should also pay special attention to it.
