We all know that label printing software is most commonly used for printing barcodes and various types of labels, which are generally single-sided. Some users may need to perform double-sided typesetting in batches due to the particularity of the industry. Printing is a little more complicated than the usual operation. Today I will introduce how to use PDF processing tools to achieve double-sided printing of PDF cross-merging.
As shown in the figure, it is a label to be printed on both sides. The left side is the front side, which is usually a variable label generated through database import or sequence. The right side is the reverse side, which is usually a fixed label template. , mainly the patterns and background colors of some trademarks. We all know that if you print directly using barcode label printing software, the printing order will be to print the front side first, and then manually print the back side. What we want to achieve is to cross-merge one front side and one back side. way to print.
First, use the barcode printing software to output the two labels to PDF documents respectively, as shown in the figure. In the print settings, select Print to "PDF document", set the path to save the document, and click Just print it. Note that the amount of data exported for the front and back sides must be the same.
As shown in the figure below, click the PDF tool in the upper right corner of the software. In the pop-up PDF tool window, click the plus button on the left to add the front and back PDF documents respectively, and then process them on the right Select "Cross Merge" in the type. Maximizing the number of pages means that for example, the PDF on the reverse side has only one page and the front side has 10 pages. After checking "Maximize the number of pages", it will automatically match the PDF with 10 pages on the reverse side, thus achieving crossover. For the effect of merging, after selecting the save path and clicking Execute, the merged PDF document will be generated.
This is the merged document:
When you open the merged PDF, you will see that the documents are arranged in order of one front and one back. You only need to print Just choose double-sided printing.
