Shaozhiyan Brush Shop, formerly known as Canghua Room, was built in the first year of Tongzhi (1862) in the Qing Dynasty and has a history of 139 years. Among the century-old stores in Hangzhou, Bizhuang is the only Chinese time-honored enterprise that refines various types of brushes and deals in the Four Treasures of the Study. It is a designated shopping mall for foreign tourism in Zhejiang Province and a self-operated export manufacturer.

Since its establishment, Bizhuang has won awards at 12 Chinese and foreign exhibitions, including Nanyang, Panama, Philadelphia, and West Lake Expositions. In particular, the self-produced high-quality Zhilantu brushes have won the favor of customers at home and abroad. Since 1983, it has been designated as one of the six famous brand products in the country by the Ministry of Commerce. In the same year, the Zhilantu trademark was rated as the second famous trademark of Zhejiang Province. In 1999, it was rated as one of the 99 national famous brands of the Four Treasures of the Study by the China Four Treasures of Study Association.
