If a trademark is used for the first time on goods exhibited at a government-sponsored or recognized international exhibition, within six months from the date of exhibition of the goods, the applicant for registration of the trademark can enjoy the following benefits: priority.
If the applicant requests temporary protection, he shall submit a written statement when applying for trademark registration, and submit within three months the name of the exhibition where his products will be displayed and the use of the trademark on the products on display. Evidence, exhibition date and other supporting documents, which shall be certified by the agency specified by the administrative department for industry and commerce of the State Council, unless the international exhibition exhibiting its products is held within the country; failure to make a written statement or failure to submit supporting documents within the time limit , deemed not to have requested temporary protection.
