Xiaozhuang Township began planting leek on a large scale in 1995, with the main varieties being Chinese leek. By the end of 2003, the cultivation area reached more than 20,000 acres, with an annual output of 20,000 tons of leek and 33 leek. million tons, it has become the largest leek production base in the north of the country, and the leeks (moss) produced have applied for registration of the "Xincheng" brand pollution-free trademark. The average yield of leek moss per mu is about 4,000 kilograms. The benefit per mu is 4,000-6,000 yuan, and can reach up to more than 10,000 yuan. The economic and social benefits are very considerable.

In 2013, the "Xiaozhuang Chives" applied by Chiping County High-Quality Agricultural Products Association was approved and registered as China's National Geographical Indication Certification Trademark by the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.
