Tuohu Lake is located in Wuhe County, Bengbu City, only 3.5 kilometers away from the county seat. It is adjacent to Provincial Highway 306 to the south and National Highway 104 to the east. The waters of the scenic area are connected to the Tuohe River, Huihe River, Huaihe River and Hongze Lake, and water and land transportation extend in all directions. The water quality of the scenic spot is better than the QB3838-88 Class II standard of the "Surface Water Environmental Quality Standard" all year round, and is close to the Class 1 standard. It is the largest pollution-free freshwater lake in northern Anhui, with a wide range of biological species and the characteristics of wetland biodiversity. In 2000, it was designated as a provincial nature reserve by the provincial government.

Tuohu Lake is extremely rich in aquatic products, including mandarin fish, carp, blue kun, silver carp, black fish, whitebait, yellow whale... In particular, Tuohu Qingshui hairy crabs are favored by people for their large size, tender meat and rich yellow color - as the saying goes: "The autumn wind makes the crab legs itchy" - "The reed flowers are white and the crab roe is fat". It is said that Zhu Yuanzhang had a special liking for Tuohu crabs. In April of the second year of Hongwu, Zhu Yuanzhang returned to Fengyang to worship his ancestors. He took three generals, Guo Zixing, Guo Ying and Fei Ju, to serve as Tuohu crabs. After eating, he repeatedly praised: "It's really the best delicacy in the world!" Zhu Yuanzhang's crab tasting pavilion still exists.

Tuohu crabs in Wuhe County were listed among the "Top Ten Famous Crabs in China". On November 11, 2004, the first China Crab Culture Festival was hosted by the China Fisheries Association and hosted by the Suzhou Municipal People's Government. Held in Wuzhong, Suzhou, 20 units participated in the competition, and 13 well-known domestic experts evaluated the 12 indicators of participating crabs. Tuohu crabs have won unanimous praise from experts for their large size, delicious taste and rich nutrition, and have been ranked among the "Top Ten Famous Crabs in China".
