The procedure of applying for trademark registration is divided into two steps.

The first step: trademark inquiry. Submit the trademark and scope of use of goods or services, and word mark will issue the query results within 1 hour; Graphic trademarks will produce query results within 24 hours.

Step 2: Apply for registration.

① Application stage: the submitted documents (before 12 am) will be submitted to the Trademark Office on the same day, and the list will be submitted to the Trademark Office on the same day;

② Formal acceptance and review stage: formal review passed-> Notice of acceptance issued by the Trademark Office-> Substantive review;

③ Announcement registration stage: substantive examination passed-> Announcement of preliminary examination->; Registration announcement-> The Trademark Office issues a registration certificate.

Submit it before 12 am, report it to the State Trademark Office on the same day, fax it back to the State Trademark Office on the same day, and affix the official seal of the submitted list and mark the date of registration application. Because China's trademark registration is based on the principle of applying first (please apply for the trademark as soon as possible and keep it confidential to avoid being registered by others), the establishment of the application date is very important for the success of trademark registration. If someone else applies one day earlier, your creativity or the huge investment in the brand in the early stage will be in vain.

Time of trademark registration

5. Except for the statutory time limit of the preliminary examination announcement period of 3 months, all other times are estimated time, because the law does not clearly stipulate the completion time of trademark examination, and ultimately the completion time of trademark office shall prevail.
