Herbal tea has a long history, and its origin can be traced back to the Eastern Jin Dynasty; Ge Hong (AD 284~364), who made alchemy in Luofu Mountain in Huizhou City, can be regarded as the ancestor of herbal tea. The precious historical legacy left by Ge Hong in medical research is still valued by modern doctors. He is even worshiped as a god in Chinese medicine research centers in the United States, Japan, and South Korea.
