All food production enterprises in China need to undergo inspection. If they pass the inspection, they need to mark the food production license number on the food packaging of the smallest sales unit and print the food quality and safety market access mark ("QS" mark) before leaving the factory for sale.
However, according to the new Measures for the Administration of Food Production License, all foods produced on or after October 1, 218 are not allowed to continue to use the original packaging and labels and the "QS" mark, and instead, they are coded with the "SC" mark.
