Nitronic 50/00Cr22Ni13Mn5Mo2N strong nitrogen austenitic stainless steel
Nitronic 50 (XM-19/FXM-19) S20910 stainless steel, Nitronic 50 (XM-19/FXM-19) S20910 It is a nitrogen-strengthened austenitic stainless steel with better corrosion resistance than 316, 616L, 317 and 317L, and its yield strength at room temperature is almost twice theirs. This steel type has very good mechanical properties at both high and sub-zero temperatures. S20910 maintains very low magnetic permeability even after large cold deformation or in subzero temperatures, while having very good mechanical properties up to 1200℉ (649℃). Although S20910 can maintain very low magnetic permeability in low temperature environments, it cannot yet reach the level of Nitronic 33 and Nitronic 40. S20910 exhibits outstanding corrosion resistance in many processes. After annealing at 2025°F (1107°C), S20910 can demonstrate excellent corrosion resistance in highly corrosive environments even in its post-weld state. This steel type has outstanding performance in resistance to sulfide stress corrosion cracking and intergranular corrosion. S20910 can withstand long-term exposure to the maritime atmospheric environment, and tests have proven that its corrosion resistance in still seawater environments is slightly better than Monel 400 (UNS N04400). This steel grade is affected by stress corrosion cracking in nitride environments and has cracking resistance between 304 and 316. It is a highly efficient alloy used in the petroleum, petrochemical, chemical, fertilizer, nuclear fuel recycling, pulp and paper, textile, food processing and marine industries. Components using highly corrosion-resistant and high-strength NITRONICS 50 stainless steel, including pumps, valves and fittings, fasteners, cables, chains, screens and wire jackets, marine hardware such as boats, pump shafts, heat exchangers, springs and photography equipment.
