When talking about Wuchang, we talk about Wuchang. The most famous one of Wuchang is rice. Wuchang is located in the southernmost part of Heilongjiang Province, about 120 kilometers away from Harbin. It is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Harbin, covering an area of ??7,512 square kilometers. It is one of the largest county-level cities in the country with over one million acres of rice fields. International authorities say that rice in Wuchang ranks first in the same latitude region. The people I interviewed were Yan Zhong, deputy mayor of Wuchang City, Wu Jingfu, director of the Wuchang City Agriculture Bureau and director of the "Green Office", and Wang Wenyan, deputy director of the Municipal Agricultural Committee. The Wuchang people revealed to me their profound background in rice cultivation.
Wuchang City is located in the southern part of Heilongjiang Province and has a mid-temperate continental climate, with a frost-free period of 140 days, an average annual precipitation of 608 mm, and 2,629 hours of sunshine per year. Xilang River, Lalin River and Mangniu River run through the entire territory, with criss-crossing water systems. Abundant sunshine, natural river irrigation, and the planting of high-quality late-maturing varieties of rice with a long maturity period make Wuchang rice unique.
Affected by the unique geography, climate and other factors of the production area, Wuchang rice has a large accumulation of dry matter, moderate amylose content and high amylopectin content. Due to the large temperature difference between day and night in the rice production area during the maturity period, there is a large accumulation of instant soluble double-stranded sugars in the rice, which is very beneficial to human health. Wuchang rice tastes light and slightly sweet, cottony and slightly sticky, fragrant and refreshing, the surface of the rice grains is shiny and shiny, and the leftover rice will not regenerate. It is the first choice for people's dining tables.
Wuchang rice has full grains, hard texture, and white and transparent color; the rice grains are oily and have a rich aroma, making it a good choice for making rice in daily life. Wuchang rice is known as "tribute rice".
It is the advantages of Wuchang rice that have led to the emergence of many new "manor owners" in Wuchang who are in love with this black land. Nowadays, all the rice fields in Wuchang are distributed to farmers, who invest and manage them themselves, and the fittest survive. The big ones are getting bigger and bigger, while the small ones are shrinking. Those who went out to work and earn money abroad subcontracted their rice fields to large households. Larger farmers own more than 150 acres of rice fields. Accompanied by Vice Mayor Yan Zhong, I walked to the fields and farmhouses, and interviewed Sun Guanghao from Zhangwafangtun, Xincun Village, Wuchang Town. This Korean farmer, a family of five, started farming in 1983. Ten years later, the area became larger and larger, and now he is the "manor owner" with about 260 acres of rice fields. 38-year-old Sun Guanghao was admitted to an aviation school after graduating from high school, served as a pilot in the army, and returned to the countryside to farm after changing careers. When I interviewed him, he was harvesting in the rice fields. In the golden waves of rice, Sun Guanghao drove a combine harvester, and the rustling sound of harvesting and threshing clearly played the music of harvest. He grows high-quality rice and employs around 20 workers a day at his busiest time. Excluding investment and various expenses, Sun Guanghao can earn about 50,000 yuan a year, which is a big figure in the local area. Generally speaking, farmers in Wuchang are richer than people in cities in Wuchang. Sun Guanghao, who loves the black soil, is so down-to-earth that he uses his hard work to sow "green" and sow hope.
After bidding farewell to Sun Guanghao, Deputy Mayor Yan Zhong told me that in addition to rice, a famous brand of green food, Wuchang is also particularly rich in mountain product resources, including wild vegetables, wild fruits, wild herbs and fungi. There are hundreds of varieties of green foods, and even low-alcohol Guquan Liquor became the first green brand-name product among the province's liquor products to receive the green food use mark in 1995. The moment I said goodbye to Vice Mayor Yan, he sincerely told me that all industries in Wuchang City are waiting for prosperity. He regards investors and collaborators as gods and investors as heroes. He hopes that through the Shanghai News Unit, he can contribute to the economic development of Wuchang City. make a contribution. In the just-concluded second China Famous Brand Product Selection Event, the "Wuchang Brand" rice produced by Wuchang Lvfeng High-Quality Rice Development Group Co., Ltd. was rated as a Chinese Famous Brand Product, becoming one of the only 7 famous rice brands in China. , is also the only Chinese famous brand rice product in our city.
Wuchang City is a famous rice-producing area in my country. Its good natural environment, long planting history and advanced production technology have created the excellent quality of Wuchang rice. In order to give full play to the brand advantages of Wuchang rice, Wuchang City established the Rice Association in 1999, and at the same time established a large-scale industrialization leader - Lvfeng High-Quality Rice Development Group. The Rice Association has registered the "Wuchang Rice" origin certification trademark in accordance with the law.
In 2001, Wuchang City began to integrate rice resources and brands. All rice produced in the designated production areas of Wuchang was concentrated under the brand "Wuchang Rice". According to different varieties, "Wuchang Rice", "Wuchang Fragrant Rice" and "Wuchang Fragrant Rice" were registered. The four product names of "Wuchang Glutinous Rice" and "Wuchang Black Rice", and the implementation of standardized management of the city's rice industry, have resulted in "Wuchang Rice" generating huge social and economic benefits. In 2003, the commercial volume of Wuchang rice reached more than 400 million kilograms, and the price per kilogram was 0.12 yuan higher than other rice. Rice farmers' income increased by more than 50 million yuan.
It is reported that "Wuchang Rice" has become the first certification trademark in Heilongjiang Province. In order to prevent traders from counterfeiting "Wuchang rice" in accordance with the law, the Wuchang City Rice Association, under the guidance of the Harbin Municipal Bureau of Industry and Commerce, applied to the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce in 1997 to register a certification trademark that can protect the name of origin. The application was accepted in 2000. The registration was officially approved on July 21 this year.
According to reports, based on the quality characteristics of the product, the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce has clearly delineated the use area of ??the "Wuchang Rice" certification trademark: from the Xilang River and Lalin River basins to Xichengzi Village, Hongqi Township To the east, west of Weisha River, north of Mopan Mountain, and south of Shuodahu Mountain. This scope covers 1.5 million acres of rice-producing areas in Wuchang City.
