What is the notarization process for trademark transfer?

The notarization procedures for trademark transfer are divided into online notarization and offline notarization. The procedures are as follows:

1. Online notarization process (can be processed on the same day during working hours)

1. Preparation materials:

The buyer prepares a scanned copy of the business license/ID card, and the seller’s business license/ID card, and a scanned copy of the trademark certificate.

2. The seller’s legal person or trademark holder logs in to the online notary platform to fill in the relevant information, verify the identity and pay the fee

3. The notary office reviews online and sends an electronic Notarization certificate

2. Offline notarization process (after successful application, it will be completed in 3-5 working days depending on the situation of the notary office)

1. Prepare materials:

The buyer shall prepare a scanned copy of the business license/ID card, and the seller shall prepare a scanned copy of the business license/ID card and trademark certificate. The company also needs to prepare an official seal and a transfer declaration.

2. The seller's legal person or trademark holder must go to the notary office to fill in the information, sign/seal, and read out the declaration on the spot. Relevant fees must be paid after completion.

3. The notary office will provide a paper version of the notarial certificate after checking the authenticity of the information.
