In terms of scenic spots, I recommend everyone to visit the "Yunnan Red Winery", which was planted by several "rightists" who were decentralized and transformed from Dongfeng Farm along the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway. Developed from rose honey, a food and wine grape variety.

In 1997, several "rightists" who were decentralized and transformed from Maitreya Dongfeng Farm dug some grape seedlings and planted them in the vineyards left by the French along the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway. When these grapes grew up, Experts have identified it as pure rose honey from France!

Maitreya became a grape planting base, growing grapes in large quantities and using them to make fine wine.

In addition to visiting the winery, you can also visit the Maitreya Buddha Temple or the Huquan Ecological Park.

In terms of food, Maitreya has many delicacies, such as braised chicken rice noodles, crispy pork, beef and mutton soup pot, flavored cold roll noodles, red wine chicken wings, etc. The shops I personally recommend include Tang’s Braised Chicken, Zhengde Mutton, Zhanglaoer Mutton, Tianguo Tavern, Lao Maitreya, Huotang Legend, and Datou BBQ.
