Xiling Snow Mountain is named after the eternal quatrain of Du Fu, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, "The window contains Xiling snow, and the door of Wu Dong Wan Li is moored". Xiling Snow Mountain is 5364 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in Chengdu. With a total area of 483 square kilometers, it belongs to the world natural heritage, giant panda habitat, AAAA-level tourist attractions and national key scenic spots.
The coverage rate of primeval forest in Xiling Snow Mountain is 90%. There are more than 6,000 kinds of plants in the scenic spot, including rare trees such as ginkgo, fragrant fruit trees and Davidia involucrata. There are two original osmanthus forests in Guihualing, covering an area of nearly 1 1,000 mu.
