The process and time for applying for a registered trademark are as follows:
1. Preparation materials for registered trademarks
(1) Subject qualification certificate is required: the company needs to provide a copy of the business license, and the individual needs to provide a copy of the personal ID card and individual business license;
(2) an application for trademark registration;
(3) Trademark name/trademark graphic style;
(4) the category and service items of the trademark to be registered.
2. Submit an application for trademark registration: you can submit it yourself at the designated window of the Trademark Office or online of the State Trademark Office, or through a trademark registration agency.
3. Trademark enters the stage of formal examination (1-2 months): the Trademark Office examines the documents and procedures for applying for trademark registration, and issues the Notice of Acceptance of Trademark Registration Application after passing.
4. Substantive examination stage (about 6-9 months): The Trademark Review and Adjudication Board will search and compare whether the applied trademark conforms to the Trademark Law and whether it is similar to other registered trademarks, and decide to reject or pass the preliminary examination after investigation and study.
5. Announcement of preliminary examination (3 months): If no one raises any objection to the trademark within 3 months from the date of the announcement of preliminary examination, the trademark shall be registered and announced.
