(2) Domestic passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and trailers should be marked with the name of the automobile manufacturer, product trademark, model name, etc. on a prominent position at the rear of the vehicle body (the rear body surface above the bumper). If a product graphic trademark is marked, it should be marked on the left and right middle positions of the outer surface of the rear of the vehicle body (except for vehicles with a spare tire rack at the rear of the vehicle or vehicles with left and right doors at the rear of the vehicle). If the joint venture parties of an automobile manufacturing enterprise combine the abbreviations of their respective names in Chinese characters or combine and mark their respective registered trademarks in Chinese characters, they may no longer mark the name of the manufacturing enterprise. (3) Special-purpose vehicles using outsourced chassis should retain the product trademark, manufacturer name, etc. of the original chassis, and should also be marked with the name of the special-purpose vehicle manufacturer, product trademark, model name, and other information. (4) Auto parts products should be marked with the manufacturer’s product trademark or company name, and the specific labeling method shall be determined by the enterprise itself. 2. Labeling requirements (1) The name of the automobile manufacturer must be marked in Chinese characters. For vehicles with a vehicle length exceeding 4.2m, the height of the Chinese characters must not be less than 25mm. For vehicles with a vehicle length not exceeding 4.2m, the height of the Chinese characters must not be less than 20mm. The name of the production company and the product word trademark must be marked with the same material. (2) The vehicle model name can be in Chinese characters or letters, and the height of the characters must not be less than 15mm. (3) The content marked on the exterior markings of automobile products shall be consistent with the content marked on vehicle product labels, vehicle factory qualification certificates and other documents. (4) In the front and rear markings of passenger cars and commercial vehicles, the name of the automobile manufacturer, product trademarks, model names, etc. should be permanently maintained, and paint spraying and self-adhesive pasting methods are not allowed. ("Permanently maintained" means that aging and natural shedding are not allowed during the service life of the product.) Note: The above regulations only apply to cars produced in China and sold to the domestic market, and to cars produced in China and sold to foreign markets. There are no unified requirements for cars and imported cars. The above-mentioned "external markings of automobile products" refer to registered product trademarks, production company names, product origins, vehicle model names and models, engine displacement, gearbox type, drive type and other markings that reflect vehicle characteristics. When specifically labeling, either the full name of the company or the abbreviation of the company can be used. When using the abbreviation of the company, it should be filed when applying for the "Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Enterprises and Products". The holding subsidiaries of domestic automobile manufacturers (groups) can indicate the company name or abbreviation according to the requirements of the parent company.
