Be careful when choosing a gym, it’s a scam!

Dyhouse is a national chain of fitness centers.

There is such a branch on the 3rd floor of Lingjiao Lake Wanda in Wuhan. On June 19, 2018, the victim Ms. Jiang applied for a fitness card there, worth 2,999 yuan. At that time, it was said that after two years of membership, one year would be free, and the card would be valid until June 18, 2021.

According to Ms. Jiang, before applying for the card, she actually discovered that the bathroom in the gym's bathroom is connected with the changing and storage room, and the floor is slippery due to water grinding. To pick up the bag and leave, you have to pass through a very slippery ground.

The person who applied for the card for Ms. Jiang was Mr. Xiong, the store’s sales manager. At that time, Manager Xiong promised that floor mats would be installed later, and Ms. Jiang chose to believe it. As a result, the other party has been unable to fulfill its promise.

Later, due to her busy work, she got a free fitness card from her workplace, so Ms. Jiang rarely went to the DiHaos Fitness Center. Due to travel, she stopped the card for a period of time, but she always used it. This card is less than two months old.

During this period, I was also defrauded of a 300 yuan deposit by the store’s personal fitness trainer. The personal training experience class lasted for half an hour. They were told that the fee would be refunded if I did not book the personal training class. However, Later, she didn't retreat. Ms. Jiang said she didn't want to argue at the time, so she didn't care.

In October 2018, the salesperson who sold the card to Ms. Jiang resigned, and the Dihaus Fitness Center was acquired by China Construction Group. However, the issue of floor mats has still not been resolved.

On November 1, 2018, the victim, Ms. Jiang, fell down on the slippery ground after a yoga class, injuring her knees and left palm. According to Ms. Jiang's description, her hand was scratched by a glass bottle. When she got up, the first thing she thought of was going to the front desk to talk to her and quickly clean it up to avoid injuring other people. She did not want compensation.

But when I got home, I found that my knees were swollen very high and the pain was so painful that I couldn't bend them. So I contacted all the gym staff who had added him on WeChat, including Manager Xiong, fitness personal trainers, gym sales staff, and at least 10 other people. However, they either said that they were playing outside on Halloween, or that it was not under the control of their department. It was not until the 5th that Ms. Jiang was added to their operations manager based on the information provided by one of them. Then I went to the hospital to see a doctor. Although there was no fracture, the hospital prescribed medicine, which cost 800 yuan in medical expenses, which was borne by the gym.

Ms. Jiang followed the doctor’s advice and rested at home for a month. However, the film taken was taken away by the gym. After Ms. Jiang's repeated insistence, she got her medical records back.

Afterwards, Ms. Jiang suspended the fitness card for three months and asked the gym to install floor mats, so the fitness card was extended to November 11, 2021.

However, when Ms. Jiang went to visit in early March, she found that the gym did not install silicone floor mats around the stools at the junction of the bathroom and toilet.

Ms. Jiang made these requirements very clear during previous negotiations. She said that if the floor mats were installed, forget about it and would not ask for compensation. Ms. Jiang did not go in at that time, so she left directly. After returning home, she kept thinking about whether to cancel the card. At this time, the gym took the initiative to call Ms. Jiang and asked Ms. Jiang to sign so that the 800 yuan advanced by the gym could be reimbursed. This intensified the conflict, and the other party made various excuses. On March 15, Ms. Jiang called 315.

Ms. Jiang wanted to cancel her card. At this time, the gym began to practice Tai Chi in various ways, including a clerk named Zhou from the industrial and commercial industry. There may be some tricks in the process, and they directly asked Ms. Jiang to go to the court.

The gym said you can sell the card online. Not a word was said about compensation. It is even said that if you return the card according to the procedures, in addition to the 4 months of use, penalty fees will also be deducted.

On the second day, Ms. Jiang went to see their deputy director again and got the coordination letter, giving the other party a one-month deadline to refund the 3,300 yuan she had paid. It does not include compensation for medical expenses and lost wages. However, Manager Xiong sent Ms. Jiang a WeChat message in the evening and changed her mind and said: “If the amount can be smaller, I will help you as soon as possible.

Although the gym staff did not realize that this was something within their responsibilities, they instead said it was “helping” and even bargained.

This matter is still open to this day. Not resolved.
