Chongqing Zoo is a famous scenic spot of Chongqing Wildlife Park.

Chongqing Zoo is located in Yangjiaping, Jiulongpo District, covering an area of 4 1 10,000 square meters. It is a large comprehensive park in Chongqing. The park was built in 1954, formerly known as Xiyuan. After 1958, animals were mainly exhibited, so it was renamed. The park is surrounded by mountains, with dense bamboo trees, lush green grass and flowers, and green peach blossom streams flowing around the park.

There are more than 20 zoos, with more than 50 species of animals/kloc-0 and more than 200 animals/kloc-0, among which rare animals are giant pandas, red pandas, golden monkeys, white iron langurs, twisted-horn sheep, wildebeests and turkeys. The park is also the population base of the National South China Tiger Breeding Center. There is also an artificial lake in the park, which is connected by islands, curved bridges and scenic pavilions. Poultry and fish are widely raised in the lake. There are also children's parks, roller skating rinks, outdoor stages, reading rooms, restaurants, tea gardens and so on.
