The water inlet pump of the second plant uses five submersible sewage pumps. The flow rate of a single water pump is 0.43m3/s, 4 are in use and 1 is in standby. The PLC system can control the start and stop of the water pump according to the water level, and can also make the pump run in an alternating manner. The outlet pipe of one of the pumps is equipped with an electronic control valve, which can play a fine-tuning role in controlling the water level. If the incoming water volume is greater than the design flow rate and the water level rises abnormally, it will overflow through the overflow channel. The overflow water level is 3.40m.
2. Grille
Function: The main equipment installed in the sewage treatment project is the grille machine, which is used to intercept and remove floating objects in the sewage.

3. Grit tank
Function: The grit tank removes mud and other suspended solids in sewage through the principle of gravity sedimentation. The sedimentation tank is generally equipped with a mud scraper, which runs continuously at a very slow speed.
Settings of the Second Plant: The grit chamber used in this sewage plant is a horizontal flow grit chamber. The vortex flow in the pond is very large, and a loud sound of water flow can be heard above it.
4. Anaerobic tank
The sewage from the grit chamber is mixed with the return sludge accounting for 5% to 10% of the water input, and then enters two parallel anaerobic tanks. There is a vertical mixer on the top of each grid, and the volume of each group of pools is 4426.1m3. The residence time of the anaerobic tank is approximately 2.12h (Q=10104m3/d) and 1.42h (Q=15104m3/d).
The effluent mixture from the anaerobic tank flows through the water distribution well to four circular nitrification and denitrification tanks with a diameter of 70m.
Activated sludge is a flocculent sludge whose main component is microbial aerobic bacteria. Sludge concentration indirectly reflects the number of aerobic bacteria. It can intuitively understand the growth of aerobic bacteria and also provides a basis for determining the amount of return sludge.
Whether there is enough oxygen in the aerobic zone is crucial to whether the nitrification reaction can be completed. At the same time, oxygen is also a key factor in whether aerobic bacteria can live normally.
5. Concentric circle activated sludge method
This part is the most important treatment structure in the sewage treatment project, providing places and conditions for the biological treatment of sewage.
In the A2/O treatment process visited this time, the biological treatment tank is divided into three areas: anaerobic, anoxic and aerobic. Since the process conditions of each zone are different, the types of microorganisms that grow are not exactly the same, so the processing functions of each zone are different. Through these different functional combinations, the purpose of phosphorus and denitrification is achieved.
The sewage from the denitrification area continues to enter the nitrification area (or aeration area) outside the pool. The nitrification zone is oxygenated with a rotating brush. In addition to oxygenating, the rotating brush also has push flow and mixing functions. Control the mixed liquid that flows back from the nitrification zone to the denitrification zone, and the reflux ratio is 400%.
6. Sedimentation tank
Specifications: The water distribution well of the sedimentation tank flows to four sedimentation tanks respectively, each tank has a diameter of 53m; the effective volume is 4961.4m3; the total height is 8.25m; hydraulic retention time 4.76h (Q=10104m3/d) or 3.17h (Q=15104m3/d), the surface load of precipitation is 0.47m3/(m2/h).
7. Sludge treatment

It is mainly composed of water surface, tidal flats and swamps, covering an area of ??about 1,300 acres. Construction started on March 15 this year and is the first wetland park in Kunming. The former barren tidal flats reproduce the beautiful scenery of Dianchi Lake with green feathers and red clouds, willows in three springs and hibiscus in nine summers.
Wetlands play an irreplaceable role in sewage treatment compared with other rapid water treatment technologies. Wetlands, with their unique functions of adsorbing, degrading and removing pollutants, suspended solids and nutrients in water, It is the conversion of potential pollutants into resources. This transformation process affects the ecological cycle system simultaneously through three forms: physical, chemical and biological. Wetland treatment methods mainly include: physical action, chemical action, and biological action to carry out evolutionary treatment of sewage. The physical effect is mainly the filtration, sedimentation and adsorption of wetlands; the chemical effect is mainly the organic microorganisms adsorbed in the pores of the wetland to provide an acidic environment, transform and degrade heavy metals in the water; the biological effect includes microbial action and plant action, the former refers to the wetland soil And hygiene in the rhizosphere soil such as the degradation of pollutants by bacteria, the latter refers to the role of large plants such as aloe vera, calamus and algae in absorbing nutrients from sewage during their growth, thereby purifying it.
