Trademark renewal means that the trademark is not renewed within the validity period, but is renewed within six months after expiration. How much does it cost to renew a trademark?

Trademark extension applications are charged based on category. To apply for renewal of registration, a fee of 1,000 yuan is required. If you apply for registration renewal within the extended period, you must also pay a late fee of 250 yuan. According to Article 40 of the Trademark Law and Article 33 of the Implementing Regulations of the Trademark Law, a registered trademark is valid for ten years. If a registered trademark expires and needs to be continued to be used, the renewal procedures should be completed within twelve months before expiration; if the renewal procedure is not completed within the expiration date, it can be extended for six months. Therefore, trademark renewal refers to the renewal within six months after the expiration of the trademark, which is called trademark renewal. If a trademark is revoked, declared invalid, or will not be renewed upon expiration, the Trademark Office will not approve applications for trademark registration that are identical or similar to the trademark within one year from the date of cancellation, invalidation, or revocation.
