The difference is that members of the Nice Alliance can participate in the revision of the classification table, while non-member countries have no right to participate.

Nice classification table includes two parts, one is the classification table of goods and services arranged by category, and the other is the classification table of goods and services arranged alphabetically.

Goods and services are arranged in the order of 1-45 according to the classification table arranged by category.

Each category has a category number and a title, and the title of each category summarizes the characteristics and scope of the goods contained in that category. Finally, list all the goods or services included in this category, and each commodity or service has a serial number for easy searching. In addition, each category has a note explaining what goods this category mainly includes, how to distinguish between this category and related categories of goods, and how to classify marginal goods. This note is of great help to some confusing commodity classification.

The other part is an alphabetical list of goods and services.

The World Intellectual Property Organization has published a classification table of goods and services arranged in English and French. Chinese trademark authorities have also compiled and printed a classification table of goods and services arranged in pinyin order. Using this table to look up the categories of general commodities is as convenient as looking up a dictionary.
