Kuwait PAI has established a product list according to the H.S code provided during export customs declaration, and regulates all products that need to apply for prior notarization and inspection. Exporters can consult the internal shipping/customs department or It is the H.S code of the products in the customs declaration industry. If you check it later, you can know whether the product needs to apply for inspection. The stipulated product categories are divided into 5 major categories and 47 sub-items

(4) Main requirements for electronic and electrical products

1. Rated voltage: The rated voltage of 240V can be marked as 220V-240V, 230V, 230V-240V and 240V. Electrical products with a rated voltage of 220V are not allowed to enter Kuwait

2. Frequency: 50 Hz

3. Plug chargers must comply with BS1363-1, BS1363-2 or BS546 standards. Plugs for electrical wiring must comply with the above standards.

4. Except for water coolers, there are no requirements for ambient temperature

5. The rated voltage of incandescent lamps must be 240v

Kuwait (KUCAS certification)

Exporting to Kuwait requires applying for KUCAS-TIR before shipment. It is a compulsory certification and is used for customs clearance at the destination port. All products in the Kuwait controlled catalog must be processed, which is a one-time customs clearance document.

To apply for KUCAS-TIR, you need to prepare the following materials:

1. Packing List: Packing List

2. Proforma Invoice: Proforma Invoice

3. Product test report: It needs to be issued by a qualified third-party testing agency. If there is already a valid test report, there is no need for additional testing.
