In Chenggong County, they are mainly distributed in Bathing Tangshan - Duanjiaying Songshan - Fenghuang Mountain - Liwang Mountain - Xiaojianshan - Xiaoguan Mountain - Taiban Mountain and Mayantang Mountain - Zhaojiashan - Mopan Mountain - Xiaotou Mountain - Wushan - Jianfeng Mountain - Ma'anshan - Liangwang Mountain, two mountain ranges facing the Dianchi Lake side, among which Miaojiaying Village, Wanxichong Village, Langjiaying Village, Duanjiaying Village and Zhaojiashan Village in Wujiaying Township are the main ones, with 50-100 years old trees accounting for 50-70; Wanxichong Village and Miujiaying Village have the most cultivation, accounting for 1/3 of the county's area and output; Majinpu Township and Qidian Township are new cultivation areas, and most of the trees are 10-15 years old.

In September 2011, "Chenggong Baozhu Pear", known as "the gentleman among fruits and the king of pears in central Yunnan", passed the geographical indication product certification of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The production area is a hilly and gentle slope area with an altitude of 1950m to 2200m. The soil type is red soil, the organic matter content is ≥2.0, and the soil pH value is 5.5 to 6.5.

3. Cultivation and management

1. Seedlings: Use grafted seedlings with Tangli as rootstock.

2. Colonization:

(1) Colonization time: late November to January of the following year.

(2) Planting density: 40 to 45 plants per 667_(mu).

3. Thinning flowers and fruits: leaving 1 fruit with 40 to 45 leaves, and the amount of fruit left per 667_(mu) is ≤3000kg.

4. Water and fertilizer management:

(1) Soil management: Plow once to twice throughout the year to keep the soil loose and eliminate weeds.

(2) Water management: Irrigate once to twice from germination to pre-flowering and fruit expansion stage.

(3) Fertilizer management: Dig ring or strip ditches in November for pear trees during the fruiting period, and apply 50kg to 100kg of decomposed organic fertilizer to each plant.
