On April 19, 2021, the Xicheng District People’s Government of Beijing and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly create Huawei Hetu technology innovation and promotion base.

On May 18, 2021, the China Electronic Components Industry Association disclosed that Huawei released its first optical fiber sensing product OptiXsense EF3000, an F5G all-optical industrial network solution for industrial scenarios, once again accelerating F5G landing application. In June, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. applied to register the "OptiXsense" and "HUAWEI OptiXsense" trademarks, which are internationally classified as scientific instruments. The current trademark status is trademark application pending.
