2. In the School Song of Tangjiasanfeng Primary School in the early years of the Republic of China, the lyrics were "Zhuhai in the front and Goose Peak in the back". It can be seen that this sea area has long been called "Zhuhai". Therefore, when Zhuhai was established as a county, it was called "Zhuhai" because this area was located at the sea of the Pearl River. Most of Zhuhai originally belonged to Zhongshan County. In 1953, some coastal areas and islands were set aside from Zhongshan, Dongguan and Baoan County to set up Zhuhai County, and the county seat was located in Tangjia Town today. In 1958, Zhuhai County was merged into Zhongshan County. In 1961, the organizational system of Zhuhai County was restored and the county seat was located in Xiangzhou. In March, 1979, it was approved by the State Council to withdraw from the county and build a city, which is a provincial city. In 1983, Doumen County was included in Zhuhai City.
