Lanzhou carved gourd is first favored by foreign tourists. It is a unique folk art in China and even the world. It is mainly carved on the surface of the gourd with a knife or needle to reflect the traditional paintings of landscapes, flowers and birds, figures and calligraphy in China, and then painted with loose ink to make its lines clear.

With the continuous development and innovation of superb folk artists in Lanzhou, Lanzhou carved gourd has formed its own unique style and become a collection of works of art. Carved gourd, Lanzhou beef noodles and sheepskin rafts are also called Lanzhou three treasures. There is a saying: "Lucky Gourd Beef Noodles, Sheepskin Raft Race Ships".

2. Winter pears

Dongguo pear is a unique fruit in Lanzhou and one of the best varieties in Gansu Province, with thin skin, fine pulp and sweet fruit flavor. Because of its taste, it has less juice and longer shelf life than Dadongguo pear. Xiaodong pear is a variation of bud strips of Dadong pear, and its fruit is round or oval.

Lanzhou people like to call it Daguo, which belongs to Pak Lei species and originated in the Yellow River Basin. It is a famous brand of fruit products in Jingyuan County. According to local records, by the Ming Dynasty, there were already "gardens as operators" on both sides of the Yellow River, and they formed a scale. It is the first choice for foreign tourists to buy fruit.
