Wuchang rice is a specialty of Wuchang City, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, and a national geographical indication product of China. Wuchang City is a typical agricultural county (city), an important national commercial grain base, one of the top ten advanced counties in grain production in the country, and one of the top five rice counties in the country.

Wuchang City is located in the southern part of Heilongjiang Province, at the junction of Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces. It is bordered by Songnen Plain to the north and 115 kilometers away from the provincial capital Harbin; it is adjacent to Shangzhi City at the western foot of Zhangguangcai Ridge in the southeast and Shangzhi City in the northeast.
