Due to its structural advantages, the maintenance-free battery consumes very little electrolyte and basically does not need to add liquid during its service life. But maintenance-free is not really maintenance-free, but compared with ordinary batteries, it is less troublesome in maintenance.
If there is water shortage, it must be replenished, otherwise it will not only lead to the decrease of battery capacity, but also cause internal structure deformation. Of course, there are also some maintenance-free batteries on the market. When leaving the factory, the corresponding electrolyte has been added and sealed, so users can't add supplementary liquid at all.
Pay attention to the use of maintenance-free batteries.
1, battery factory charging. From the factory to the installation and use, the battery capacity will be lost to varying degrees. If it takes a long time, it should be recharged before it is put into use. If the storage period of the battery is less than one year, charge it at a constant voltage of 2.27V/ battery for 5 days. If the storage period of the battery is 1 ~ 2 years, charge it at a constant voltage of 2.33V/ battery for 5 days.
2. When the battery is floating, the floating charge voltage of each single battery should be 2.25~2.30V V. Above or below this range, the battery capacity or life will be reduced.
3. When the battery is floating, the battery cell voltage should not be lower than 2.20 V. If the battery cell voltage is lower than 2.20 V, it needs to be charged evenly. The method of balanced charging is: charging voltage 2.35V/ set, charging time 12 hours.
4. When the battery is recycled, charge it at constant voltage and current limit after discharge. The charging voltage is 2.35 ~ 2.45v/ cell, and the maximum current is not more than 0.25C 10. The specific charging method is as follows: firstly, charge at a constant current with a current less than the maximum current; when the average battery voltage rises to 2.35-2.45 V, charge at a constant voltage with an average battery voltage of 2.35-2.45 V until the end of charging.
