Permanent brand bicycle is a bicycle brand produced by Shanghai Permanent Co., Ltd. In the 1970s and 1980s, bicycles were high-grade means of transportation. With the diversification of travel modes such as private cars, buses and rail transit, "permanent brand" bicycles have faded out of people's sight.

The history of Shanghai Permanent Co., Ltd. engaged in bicycles can be traced back to 1940. It is one of the earliest bicycle manufacturers in China. After the founding of New China, as the largest state-owned bicycle factory, it has made indelible contributions to the development of bicycle industry in China.
