What are the precautions for EU trademark transfer?

Although the EU trademark is a foreign trademark, its transfer process is actually roughly the same as our domestic trademark transfer process. It also requires a trademark transfer application → acceptance by the International Trademark Office → review by the Trademark Office → trademark Announce → Approval of your registered trademark transfer → Issue transfer certificate and other steps.

Application → Acceptance → Review → Announcement → Issuance of transfer certificate.

It requires selecting a trademark, signing a contract, waiting for approval by the EU authorities, and then announcing and issuing an electronic voucher. The entire process takes about 1-3 months, depending on the situation. However, as long as the trademark authorization is completed first, the EU trademark can be used as soon as the day the contract is signed, without waiting for the transfer procedure to be completed

Required materials:

1. "Transfer Application/Registered Trademark Application", signed/sealed by the transferor and transferee;

2. "Trademark Agency Power of Attorney", signed/sealed by the transferee;

3. If the transferee is a company, it must provide a copy of the "Business License"; if it is an individual, it must provide a copy of the ID card;

4. Transferor and transferee An original copy of the signed/sealed transfer agreement;

5. A copy of the trademark registration certificate for the transfer registration procedure.

6. Notarized documents are required.
