X-Large is a store and streetwear brand from Los Angeles, USA. Its fashion brand has a history of 18 years in the United States. Its brand name contains two meanings: "Generation X" and "Living Large". In 1991, Adam Silverman and Eli Bonerz (both graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design) opened a trendy clothing store on Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles with the investment of their friend Mike Diamond (a member of Beastie November Boy), named after them. For X-Large, X-Large uses an orangutan as its LOGO because Eli Bonerz, one of the founders, has a special liking for BEN DAVIS products, so he invited his friends to design a LOGO based on BEN DAVIS for his own brand. The current X-Large gorilla logo was born from this.
