The trademark PASACO (Basao) was authorized by Polyda Industrial Co., Ltd. to Shanghai Basao Enterprise Development Company in 2004. According to information given by an insider of Shanghai Basao Enterprise Development Company, Polyda Industrial Co., Ltd. was a company registered in the British Virgin Islands in 1997. On this small island with only 153 square kilometers and a population of more than 20,000, there are more than 300,000 overseas offshore companies registered. Polyda Industrial Co., Ltd. is one of them, and Basao is its trademark registered in France in 1998. In addition, Shanghai Bashao Enterprise Development Co., Ltd. provided a certificate for registration in France of International Classification Class 25 goods (only including clothing), but did not provide relevant information on the registration of International Classification Class 18 leather goods in France.

Although it is only a trademark registered in France by a company in the British Virgin Islands in 1998, there is no evidence to prove that its products are made by famous French designers, and it is admitted to be a mid- to low-end product.
