Why do you say that you practice your own heart?
Lingtai is a Taoist name for human body parts, and "Lingtai" refers to the back of the head. Until now, Chinese medicine still calls the point on the back facing the heart "Lingtai Point". A person who feels calm inside and is not tired of foreign things is called "Lingtai Qingming".
"Square inch" refers to the front center. Hold the fist in the middle of the fourth row of ribs, and the position covered by the fist is called "square inch". "Lingtai square inch" refers to people's hearts. Only in this way can we reach the realm of transformation, that is, the highest realm of practice. Now Lingtai Jingming is more common in Xuanxia novels. Occasionally, it is also a metaphor in life, which makes people unmoved, keeps their hearts pure and does nothing wrong. Father Xu Bodhi just showed up to teach Wukong skills, so there is no need for much ostentation and extravagance.
The slanting moon has three stars pointing to the heart. In fact, including the founder Xu Bodhi, they all practiced in Sanxingdong in the crooked moon. In other words, all the founders, including Bodhi, have been practicing in their inner world. The reason why the author designed this way is to show that all people who cultivate immortality and monasticism practice in their own inner world, which is the fundamental significance that Xieyue Samsung wants to express.
Where is the real Lingtai Fangshan?
Lingtai Fangcun Mountain is a place name in The Journey to the West, located in Niuhezhou. Bodhi, Buddha, lives in seclusion in Sanxing Cave, Xieyue Mountain, Fangcun Village, Lingtai. Bodhi was the first teacher in the Monkey King. The Monkey King got his dharma name from Bodhi, who taught the Monkey King somersault cloud and seventy-two changes.
Lingtai Fangcun Mountain is located in Lingtai County, Gansu Province. This mountain, also known as Kochi, stands side by side with the AAAA-level Lingtai Jingshan Park. Looking from a distance, there is a lonely peak on the mountain, which is round and delicate, with unique shape and shadow trees in the mountain. "Afternoon photo of the lonely peak" is one of the eight scenic spots in Lingtai. According to folklore, this mountain is where the Monkey King studied art in the Journey to the West.
