Binjiang is the jurisdiction of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.
binjiang district belongs to Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province. It is located on the south bank of the lower reaches of Qiantang River, between 3 8' 2.4 "north latitude and 3 14' 2.4" east longitude, and between 12 7' 4.8 "and 12 13' 55.2" east longitude. East and south are bordered by Beigan Street, Shushan Street and Wenyan Street in Xiaoshan District. Qiantang River borders on the west and north, and faces Xihu District and Shangcheng District across the river. The maximum distance between east and west is 1.4 kilometers, and the maximum distance between north and south is 1.4 kilometers, with a total area of 72.2 square kilometers.
Binjiang District is located in the western edge of Xiao Shaoping, with Hangzhou syncline hill in the north and puyang river Plain in the south. The territory is dominated by plains, with a few low hills, monotonous landform types and clear boundaries. Xijiangtang and Beihai Tang are divided into Lifan landform and sandy landform.
Historical evolution:
In May p>1949, Xiaoshan County was liberated and was directly under the jurisdiction of the province. In June, Xiaoshan was assigned to Shaoxing area.
in p>1957, it was included in Ningbo special zone.
in p>1959, it was changed to Hangzhou, and the riverside territory belongs to Xiaoshan county.
in p>1984, there were three townships: Xixing, Changhe and Puyan.
in p>1985, the township was changed to a town called Xixing Town, Changhe Town and Puyan Town, which still belonged to Xiaoshan County.
in p>1988, Xiaoshan was removed from the county to set up a city (county level), and its territory belonged to Xiaoshan city.
