acquired Hengchang Shaofang and changed its name to Hengxing Distillery
Hengxing Distillery was founded in 1941 by Mr. Lai Yongchu, the father of Mao Liquor. The predecessor of Hengxing Winery was "Hengchang Burning House" founded by Zhou Bingheng. At that time, the winery was on the verge of bankruptcy because of poor management. Zhou Bingheng was eager to fill the deficit and wanted to sell "Hengchang Burning House". But after waiting for half a year, no one is willing to take over. To this end, Zhou Bingheng found Lai Yongchu with Shuai Canzhang, hoping to sell it to him with "Hengchang Burning House". Lai Yongchu saw that Zhou Bingheng was on the verge of bankruptcy and couldn't pay his debts, so he accepted Zhou Bingheng's proposal and bought the Hengchang Burning House.
In order to reverse the continuous loss of Hengchang Burning House, Lai Yongchu immediately invested money to expand and transform the factory building and renamed it Hengxing Distillery. After reconstruction, Hengxing Winery has 17 wine cellars, each with a capacity of 3 sorghum stones, each weighing 6 Jin, a spacious airing yard, two stone mills and eight horses. The amount of materials used in the winery is kept between 11-12 cellars all the year round, and the alcohol production can reach more than 4, kilograms.
Although the capacity of liquor production was improved, the quality of Mao liquor produced at that time was not high. In order to improve the quality of Mao wine, Mr. Lai Yongchu asked the manager and winemaker to transport all the new wine, old wine, explosive wine and other rounds of wine to Guiyang, and constantly studied and blended them himself, and hired many liquor experts to taste them. After repeated careful blending and trial, the best blending ratio was finally found, and the blending production was carried out according to this method. Maojiu produced by this method does not sting the throat at the entrance, dry mouth and head after drinking, and once it is listed, it will be recognized by consumers. Mr. Lai Yongchu made a decisive decision, sold through his Zhuanghao in all parts of the country, and constantly explored the market while standing firm. By the early liberation of Guizhou, the annual output of Mao wine in Hengxing Distillery had reached more than 1, kilograms.

Original creation of "Lai Mao"
In the late 193s and early 194s, maojiu fakes flooded the market. In order to maintain the maojiu image of Hengxing Distillery, Mr. Lai Yongchu intended to change the trademark. On a business trip, Mr. Lai Yongchu was inspired by the word "Lai Mao" when he heard the quarrel between two drunkards. He thought that his surname was Lai and he made wine in Maotai Town. Isn't the word "Lai Mao" just the right name for their products? Later, Mr. Lai Yongchu found the manager Wang Danian. After discussion, everyone clapped and laughed. They thought it was interesting and coincided with the name of the wine, so they changed the product name to "Lai Mao".
According to the Records of Maotai Distillery, Mr. Lai Yongchu registered the surname "Lai" and Mao from Maotai Town as trademarks of "Lai Mao". The trademark "Lai Mao" is exquisite and beautiful. The seal is scarlet letter with a silver gray background, and a tax stamp is affixed below the bottle mouth. On the front of the trademark, there is the pinyin of the word "Lai Mao" in Latin, with a golden Dapeng spreading its wings above the earth in the middle, the word "Lai Mao" below and the bronzing instructions on the back with a blue background. In addition, a small cylindrical earthenware bottle is designed to ensure that the wine is not affected by light. Now, the "Laimao" wine bottle left behind has become the only earliest packaged object in the history of Mao wine development, and it is a precious historical relic.

"Lai Mao" enjoys a world-famous reputation
Mr. Lai Yongchu makes full use of his own branches in banks and money houses all over the country to sell "Lai Mao" wine, and vigorously promotes sales in Shanghai, Hong Kong and other places. A batch of "Lai Mao" wine with one or two small packages is specially packaged and given away for free at airports and docks. After the victory of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Mr. Lai Yongchu entrusted the tycoon of Shanghai Warwick Bank to bring more than 3 bottles of "Laimao" to Hong Kong for trial sale. With its high-quality taste and soft and mellow maotai-flavor style, "Laimao" wine won the favor of Chinese and foreign merchants in one fell swoop and was robbed.
At this point, "Lai Mao" wine has entered the international market with Hong Kong as the window. Thanks to Mr. Lai Yongchu's hard work, "Laimao" liquor became the representative of Mao liquor at that time, and Hengxing winery gradually changed from a manual workshop to a modern winery with a certain scale.
however, in 1953, the government merged three private brewing workshops, namely Chengyi (Huamao), Ronghe (wangmao) and Hengxing (Laimao), by means of redemption, confiscation and takeover, and implemented the policy of "three industries in one"-State-owned Maotai Distillery was established. Hengxing Distillery has become the first workshop of Maotai Distillery, and it is still producing high-quality Moutai.

Lai Shiqiang rebuilt Hengxing Winery
Until February 1981, Mr. Lai Yongchu put forward a proposal to restore the production of "Lai Mao" wine at the second meeting of the fourth session of Guizhou Provincial Political Consultative Conference, which was passed. Unfortunately, on May 13th of the same year, Mr. Lai Yongchu died in Guiyang at the age of 79.
In p>1982, Lai Shiqiang, as the direct son of Mr. Lai Yongchu, followed his father's wishes, gave up his iron rice bowl and returned to Maotai Town, the hometown of Lai Mao Liquor, to rebuild Hengxing Distillery. In order to reproduce the world-famous "Lai Mao", Lai Shiqiang found a descendant of the winemaker of Hengxing Distillery to be responsible for brewing liquor. After unremitting efforts, strict selection of materials, adherence to traditional brewing techniques, and repeated blending attempts, after 32 years, Hengxing Winery once again floated the fragrance of wine.
At present, Lai Yongchu Moutai Hengxing Distillery owns a variety of maotai-flavor liquors, among which Laixing Liquor is one of the typical maotai-flavor liquors in Maotai Town. Maotai red tassel sorghum is selected as the raw material, and the sweet water of Chishui River is brewed by the traditional brewing technology of twice blanking, nine cooking, eight koji adding and seven wine taking. Laixing wine has the characteristics of outstanding sauce flavor, full body, long aftertaste, elegance and delicacy, good taste, leaving fragrance in an empty cup, which is deeply recognized and loved by consumers.
