Bole red grape is an agricultural product with geographical indication.
Bole red grapes have a unique climate, with blue sky and white clouds, long sunshine hours, a 20-degree temperature difference between day and night, water quality from Tianshan snow water, and dry yellow sand soil.
The Fifth Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps is located in the Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, on the southwest edge of the Junggar Basin, and is a high-quality climate area for table grape cultivation. In the late 1990s, based on market demand and the natural ecological environment, the Fifth Division adjusted its industrial structure and vigorously developed the cultivation of high-quality, large-grained red grapes that are resistant to storage and transportation. Six regiments, including the 81st and 83rd regiments, were selected as red grape planting areas, and the red grapes produced by each regiment were uniformly registered as "Beijiang" brand red grapes. Because the climatic conditions of the Fifth Division are continental arid desert climates, with abundant sunshine, large temperature differences between day and night, high effective accumulated temperature, low precipitation, and hot and dry summers, the red grapes produced are characterized by bright colors, crisp flesh, and semi-flavored flesh. It is famous at home and abroad for its transparent firmness and pure taste. After continuous efforts, the company has passed ISO9001:2000 international standard quality system certification and Good Agricultural Practice GAP certification. In 2008, it won the title of "Xinjiang Famous Trademark". The Fifth Division was rated as the "Hometown of Red Globe Grapes" by the State Forestry Administration. Nowadays, as a specialty industry of the fifth division, red grapes have an annual output value of nearly 300 million yuan, driving more than 4,500 fruit farmers, and have broad development prospects.
