Linshu County is located at the junction of Lu and Su in the southeast of Shandong Province. It is affiliated to Linyi City, Shandong Province and is named after the Linshu River. The establishment of Linshu County began in the early Han Dynasty. It is a famous old revolutionary area in modern times. During the Anti-Japanese War and the War of Liberation, it was the seat of the leading organs of the Shandong party, government and army.

Historical evolution
The Western Zhou Dynasty was under the jurisdiction of small countries such as Huan and Zhu.
At the end of the Spring and Autumn Period, Juan and Zhu were destroyed by Lu and belonged to the State of Lu.
During the Warring States Period, the Linshu area was included in the cross-border area, and later returned to Chu.
During the Qin Dynasty, the northern part of Linshu belonged to Ju County, Langye County, and the southern part belonged to Tan County, Donghai County.
During the Western Han Dynasty, it was divided into two counties: Donghai and Langye.
