1. Atlas Copco (hereinafter referred to as AC)
AC is a multinational group headquartered in Sweden, and the air compressor manufacturer is only one of its subsidiaries Group. Due to years of continuous acquisitions, AC can produce almost all forms of air compressors and is quite famous. It is estimated to have the highest share in the world.
AC mainly produces oil-filled screw air compressors. It has multiple factories around the world and also has a factory in Wuxi, China.
AC mainly relies on its branches for sales in China. AC has branches in important cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. AC's biggest advantage is its reputation and its ability to adopt flexible prices for important projects.
AC's disadvantages are poor service quality, high service fees, and little attention to small projects.
AC is currently the most profitable oil-free screw air compressor in China.
2. Ingersoll-Rand Ingersoll-Rand (hereinafter referred to as IR)
IR is also a multinational group headquartered in the United States, and the air compressor manufacturer is only one of its subsidiaries group. IR can also produce various forms of air compressors, with a rich product range and high reputation. IR's global market share is second only to or comparable to AC.
IR is the earliest company to jointly produce screw machines in China. It was established in Shanghai in 1987. Before 1995, the production and sales of Shanghai IR were very good. Customers in the market are waiting to buy screw machines, but at this time only IR produces screw machines.
IR is mainly sold through branches, with branches in major cities across the country, such as Beijing, Shenyang, Qingdao, Wuhan, Three Gorges, Guangzhou, Shanghai, etc. In other regions, IR sells through distribution agents.
IR is relatively well-known because it established factories in China relatively early. However, because Shanghai IR uses production technology 30 years ago, its quality is not very good, and its sales have been greatly affected. In the past 10 years, IR's most profitable product in China has been centrifugal air compressors. Before 1997, IR occupied 80% of China's domestic imported centrifugal air compressor market. The duties of its sales staff are only busy signing orders and taking customers to visit the United States. Another profitable product of IR is the mobile air compressor, which is widely used in China.
IR’s current advantage is still its popularity, and its disadvantage is that it has two sales systems: one is Far East IR and the other is Shanghai IR. It is difficult to unify the concepts of members of the two organizations. At the same time, the quality of Shanghai IR's products has also weakened its overall competitiveness to a certain extent. Therefore, the current sales situation of IR's screw machines in China is not very good.
3. Compair/Demag (hereinafter referred to as Compair)
Compair is a British company that mainly produces sliding vane air compressors (≤50 HP ) is well-known in the industry. Currently, there is no information showing the source of its profits. In recent years, Compair has successively acquired the screw air compressor department of Demag in Germany and Leroi Air Compressor Company in the United States to become a global air compressor company.
Compair established a Shanghai factory in 1993, but its nationwide sales network in China has not yet been established, so it does not have a great impact.
Compair's advantages are: a. The sliding vane machine is cheap; b. Demag's screw machine also has a price advantage; c. The product range is complete; d. It has a factory in China.
The disadvantages of Compare are: ①. The product quality is average; ②. The marketing network is not perfect; ③. The popularity is not enough.
4. Sullair
Sullair is a subsidiary company of a large aviation (military) enterprise in the United States. It has a short history of producing air compressors, mainly screw compressors. Sullair has branches around the world, and in the United States, it is the largest air compressor company after IR.
Sullair’s factory in China is located in Shekou, Shenzhen.
Sullair mainly sells through agents. Before 1999, its agents were mainly Tang Sheng from Taiwan and Keming from Guangzhou. Recently, the number of its agents has increased significantly.
At present, Sullair has considerable performance in certain industries, such as textiles, automobiles, etc.
Sullair's main products are oil-screw type and mobile type. Its oil-screw type has great price competitiveness in the high-horsepower type (300HP). It is said that its mobile phones have been mainly domestically produced in recent years, a move that will increase its market share.
Sullair is not well-known at present, and its investment in China is not large. Its main advantage is that it has a factory in China and its high-horsepower products are relatively cheap.
Sullair's disadvantages are that its machines have a rough appearance, are not well-known, and do not have oil-free products.
5. Fusheng
F and S. are joint ventures with three factories in China: Zhongshan, Shanghai and Beijing. F.S. has opened up the Chinese market through its high-quality small piston machines, with dealers all over the country.
F.S. is already a well-known air compressor manufacturer in China, but its screw compressor is still a representative of low-end compressors.
The biggest advantage of F, S, is its low price and high reputation.
The disadvantage of F, S, is that the quality is poor, and the failure rate of high-horsepower machines is very high.
6. Kaeser
Kaeser is Germany's largest air compressor manufacturer with strong production capacity and enjoys the same reputation as BOGE in Europe.
Kaeser has set up a branch in Shanghai, China, and has an agent in Shenzhen. It has not yet established a sales network across the country.
Kaeser does not produce oil-free models. Although its sales are larger than BOGE, its quality is worse than BOGE. The awareness of innovation is not strong, and the overall situation is going downhill.
Kaeser’s advantage is that it is very famous in Europe and its prices are competitive.
Kaeser’s disadvantage is that the network is not perfect and the awareness of innovation is not enough.

a. Quincy (USA); b. BOGE (Germany); c. GESO SYSTEMS (UK) d. ZSCREW ( Japan);
e, KOBELCO (Japan);
f, HITACHI (Japan)
8. Domestic air compressor brands
There are many air compressor factories in China, and the ones currently influential across the country include several in Liuerkong, Nanjing, Wuxi and Shenyang. Among them, Liu Erkong and Wuxi have the highest market share in the domestic screw machine market.
The main domestic air compressor brands are:
a. Bolette (Shanghai);
b. Fidelity (Liuzhou); c. Unitech Si (Shanghai);
d, Weiken (Shanghai);
e, Sikeluo (Shanghai); f, Inspur (Shanghai);
g. Risheng-Schneider (Shanghai); h. Dongfang (Shanghai);
Among the medium-pressure air compressors used in hydropower stations, Chongqing compressors are the most famous.
The advantages of domestically produced machines: low price and incomplete sales network.
Disadvantages of domestic machines: poor quality and high energy consumption.
