2. Examination: After receiving the application for trademark registration, the New Zealand Industrial Property Office will conduct a formal examination of the registered trademark once the examiner confirms that the application is accepted. After the formal examination, if there is no problem, the New Zealand Industrial Property Office will send an examiner to conduct a deeper examination of the registered trademark. This examination process is called substantive examination.
3. Announcement: In the process of substantive examination, if the examiner has no reason to reject the application for trademark registration, the examination result of the registered trademark will be announced on the official platform of New Zealand Industrial Property Office.
4. Approval of registration: If no one raises any objection to the registered trademark or the objection is resolved before the expiration of the announcement, the registered trademark will be approved and registered by the New Zealand Industrial Property Office, and a notice will be issued.
