Quanzhou, referred to as "carp" for short, is located in the southeast of Fujian Province, bordering Fuzhou, the provincial capital in the north, Xiamen Special Economic Zone in the south, Taiwan Province Baodao in the east and Zhangzhou, Longyan and Sanming in the west. It is a world-famous international garden city, an economic and cultural center of Fujian Province, one of the three central cities in Fujian Province, one of the five central cities in the economic zone on the west side of the Taiwan Strait, and one of the three financial complexes in China.

Quanzhou has a developed private economy, with the employment rate ranking first in the country and fifth in the world [1]. It is known as the "Brand Capital of China" and "Private Special Zone", and the number of national well-known trademarks ranks first in prefecture-level cities in China. Quanzhou is an important commercial port city along the southeast coast of China, and Quanzhou Port is an important port with a scale of over 1 million tons.

Quanzhou is a world multicultural exhibition center established by UNESCO, a world religious museum and one of the first historical and cultural cities in China. Quanzhou is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese and China compatriots, and about half of the Han compatriots in Taiwan Province are from Quanzhou. At the same time, Quanzhou is also the birthplace of Minnan culture, the core and rich area of Minnan cultural protection, and has the reputation of "Zou Lu on the seashore" and "City of Light". Quanzhou is the starting point of China's Maritime Silk Road. During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, Quanzhou Port was praised as "the world's largest port" by Kyle Polo, a medieval traveler, and was equally famous as Alexandria.

Quanzhou retains the cultural heritage represented by Nanxi Opera, Nanyin, South Shaolin and South Architecture, among which Nanyin is the living fossil of Central Plains elegant music, Liyuan Opera, Gaojia Opera, Dacheng Opera and Puppet Opera are the characteristic operas in China, and Tieguanyin, one of the top ten famous teas in China, originated in Anxi County, is famous for its delicate and elegant taste.
