Hot stamping is also called "hot stamping", a printing and decoration process. The metal printing plate is heated, foiled, and golden text or patterns are embossed on the printed matter.
For example: book cover hot stamping, gift box hot stamping, tobacco, wine, clothing trademarks and boxes, greeting cards, invitations, pens, etc. There are many colors and patterns, and they can also be customized according to specific requirements. Request a customized special edition. The base materials for hot stamping include general paper, gold, silver ink and other ink printing paper, plastics (PE, PP, PVC, engineering plastics such as ABS, etc.), leather, wood and other special materials.
Process principle:
1. The hot stamping process uses the principle of hot pressure transfer to transfer the aluminum layer in anodized aluminum to the surface of the substrate to form a special metallic effect. The main material used for hot stamping is anodized aluminum foil, so hot stamping is also called anodized aluminum foil. Anodized aluminum foil is usually composed of multiple layers of materials, the base material is often P?E, followed by separation coating, color coating, metal coating (aluminized) and glue coating.
2. The basic hot stamping process is under pressure, that is, when the anodized aluminum is pressed by the hot stamping plate and substrate, the anodized aluminum is heated to coat it with a hot-melt silicone resin layer and adhesive tape. The agent melts. At this time, the viscosity of the melted silicone resin becomes smaller, and the viscosity of the special heat-sensitive adhesive increases after it is heated and melted, causing the aluminum layer to peel off from the anodized aluminum base film and transfer to the substrate at the same time. As the pressure is removed, the adhesive quickly cools and solidifies, and the aluminum layer firmly adheres to the substrate, completing a hot stamping process.
3. Hot stamping mainly has two functions: one is surface decoration, which can increase the added value of the product. The combination of hot stamping and other processing methods such as embossing and embossing can better demonstrate the strong decorative effect of the product: second, it gives the product higher anti-counterfeiting performance, such as using holographic positioning and hot stamping trademark logos.
4. After the product is hot stamped, the pattern is clear and beautiful, the color is bright and eye-catching, and it is wear-resistant and weather-resistant. At present, more than 85% of the applications of hot stamping technology on printed cigarette labels are applied. In graphic design, hot stamping can play a finishing touch and highlight the design theme, and is especially suitable for the decorative use of trademarks and registered names.
