Beichen District is one of the four districts around the city of Tianjin. It is located in the north of the city center, 110 kilometers away from the capital Beijing, 50 kilometers away from Tianjin New Port, and 15 kilometers away from Tianjin Binhai International Airport. It has a total area of ??478.5 square kilometers, governs two streets and 9 towns, and has a total registered population of 319,800, including 198,300 agricultural population and 121,500 non-agricultural population.

In 2002, the export delivery value was 5.43 billion yuan and the export earnings were 399 million US dollars. Urban and rural construction are changing with each passing day.
