In 1919, Jinyu Fenjiu Co., Ltd., one of the first joint-stock brewing enterprises with modern enterprise characteristics in China, was established.

In 1932, Jinyu Fenjiu Co., Ltd. acquired Yiquanyong Brewing Factory. Since then, Jinyu Fenjiu Co., Ltd. has become the only representative of the traditional brewing industry in Xinghua Village.

On June 1, 1949, the state-owned Shanxi Xinghuacun Fenjiu Factory was established on the basis of the acquisition of Jinyu Fenjiu Co., Ltd.'s Yiquanyong Brewing Factory and Dehoucheng Brewing Factory.

In 1951, the Fen Distillery moved from the East Fort of Xinghua Village to the old site of the ancient Bahuai Street in the West Fort of Xinghua Village, laying the foundation for future expansion.

In 1985, Fenjiu Factory became the largest famous liquor production base in the country. The annual output of Fenjiu exceeded 8,000 tons, accounting for half of the national output of 13 famous liquors at that time.

On November 1, 1988, Shanxi Xinghua Village Fenjiu Factory was established as the main factory, with various economic components and multi-level organizational structure composed of 18 enterprises and scientific research units in Taiyuan, Luliang, Changzhi, etc. Economic consortium--Xinghuacun Fenjiu Group.

In 1989, Fenjiu liquor was rated as a national famous wine at the Fifth National Famous Wine Tasting Conference. In 1992, Fenjiu Factory was the first in the country's liquor industry to obtain the right to operate independently in import and export.

On August 15, 1993, Shanxi Xinghuacun Fenjiu Factory was reorganized into Xinghuacun Fenjiu (Group) Company.

In December 1993, Shanxi Xinghuacun Fenjiu (Group) Company took out the main part of its production to establish Shanxi Xinghuacun Fenjiu Factory Co., Ltd., and it was publicly listed. This was the first listed liquor company in the country.
