CET-4 has been an inevitable test in universities for many years. Many students living in universities face it painfully without thinking about why we have to take the CET-4. This is my understanding.

When we were in high school, we paid close attention to the college entrance examination, which meant that we lost the space and time for playing. Therefore, most of us go to college with the mentality of playing, not learning. However, CET-4 brought us back to study. Another reason may be economic globalization. With the economic development, we have to face foreign companies, and English is the most common language.

For these two main reasons, we have to face the CET-4, although the process is painful.
